Lauren Wyner's eFolio
Welcome to my eFolio
My name is Lauren and I have been teaching ESL/EFL since 2011. As an undergraduate student at Vassar College, I studied English and Anthropology. My enthusiasm for learning all about the English language as well as human interactions led me on a path to teaching.
After working with USAID to train its education sector staff, I decided to travel abroad and teach EFL in Vietnam. Working with such motivated students of all ages and proficiency levels meant that I needed to have a better foundation in second language acquisition and learning.
Thus, I decided to persue a master's degree in TESOL at Teachers College, Columbia University.
I have had the privilege to work with students from all over the world at TC. I invite you to explore my eFolio where you will find lesson plans, syllabi, and other materials I have developed while teaching. Thank you for visiting!

I have learned a lot in the English class. Lauren explains things very clearly. I like her class because it is often full of laughter. We played a lot of small games for vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. Lauren always taught us a lot of things about American culture, which was really helpful. Besides the textbook, she taught us a lot of useful things, like how to write a cover letter, email, and some interview skills which are really very interesting and helpful. She must have spent a lot of time preparing for the class. All the material and games are very useful. She also spent a lot of time on our homework. My writing was really poor, but after the class, I made a lot of progress.

During the time she taught me, that was a fantastic time for me. Her teaching skills were the best way to help me improve my English so much. I will follow her suggestion to improve more.
